The intention for this project was to create a space where goods and ideas could be freely exchanged year-round.
The area where this project took place was subject to cold winters and extremely hot summers, and to combat this, the entire wall of each unit can hinge open. This allows for unrestricted air flow while still protecting from summer monsoon rains.
A primary goal of mine was to capture the liveliness that a project like this could bring to an area through extremely detailed renders. By filling the project with people, props, and a detailed environment, a sterile architectural render comes to life.
Lumion was the ideal choice for renders in this style due to the vast variety of props and weather controls. By using an extremely high lens focal length, an orthographic-esque view can be achieved, making it suitable for more technical views, despite Lumion being a less technical friendly render engine.
